1978 f250 with 4.5 or 5 inch lift high pinion dana 44. Instructions showed install at top of steering arm but i couldnt get it in for the life of me so i installed to the bottom of steering arm and works fine. No bump steer just as good as factory.

DO NOT BUY

SJA-SDL250
bought 6 inch front springs for my 78. then bought the Skyjacker drop draglink and pitman arm. draglink is not and has never been built correctly for these trucks. it is 3 inches to long to pit with the stock steering arm while maintaining driveability. and does not allow for any articulation at all. i spent tons of money and time trying to make this work. ended up running a custom set up that cost me less than this hunk of junk. 4 inch drop chevy steering arm to chevy draglink end with adjustment sleeve to a 67-73 ford tie rod end to the stock 78 ford pitman arm. this has allowed me to stay as close to stock driveability as possible in a lifted truck and is much stronger and cheaper ...read more

Quality Product, Instructions are WRONG

SJA-SDL250
I have a 1978 F250 with the D60 front axle and went with the skyjacker 6" suspension lift. With this lift, their drop pitman arm AND adjustable draglink are required. According to their instructions, the draglink installs from the top down on the D60 steering arm, and from the bottom up on the D44 steering arm. Well that is completely WRONG as it should be the other way around. Due to the fact that it is made to go from the top down on the D60, it cannot articulate enough to flip around and go from the bottom up on the steering arm. The draglink itself is a nice piece, but it was not designed correctly for the two axles. VERY disappointed. ...read more
