Ask a Product Question
Q:

This will be going in a 1964 chevelle will the Right Stuff Detailing AFXDC01C disc break conversion work well or will I run into any issues?

Asked by JON on September 28, 2018

A:

The ball joints used in the control arms included in this kit are OE replacement ball joints for '64-'72 GM A-bodies. If the brake conversion works with the OE control arms and ball joints, it should work with the QA1 parts as well.

Answer This Question

Q:

I was wondering if this product would work with the factory drums. I saw a couple of kits that require the disk brake conversion and I eventually want to do the disk brake but not yet. So my main question is does it work with the factory drums and can I upgrade to the disk brakes later

Asked by RONALD on December 03, 2017

A:

Hi Ronald - This kit will work with either disk or drum brakes. You'll have no issue as long as your spindles keep the factory ball joint tapers. Thank you.

Answer This Question

Q:

will this work on all Chevy A bodies? I have a 66 Impala I'm looking to upgrade

Asked by DUSTIN on November 08, 2017

A:

Hi Dustin - This kit is designed around the A-body platform, but the 66 Impala (while simular) is a B-body chassis. QA1 does offer a number of components for the B-Body chassis, but it would probably be best calling the tech line at Summit Racing to explain your goals for the car. From there, they can suggest the correct parts to suite your goals.
