Milodon high-flow thermostats greatly aid the correct functioning of a high-performance cooling system. They're engineered to warm the engine to a proper operating temperature without making it run hot enough to lose power. Also, the "Balanced Sleeve" design equalizes the pressures exerted on the thermostat. This counters the undesired effect of increased flow from a high-volume water pump, which actually tends to hold a stat closed.

My Stroker has always run warm. I have tried countless different styles of thermostats. This high flow stat does the trick. I am a believer now. Thanks.

This is the best thermostat on the market! It holds at a perfect 180 degrees! Even when it is over 110 degrees outside. It is the only one I run in all my vehicles. You can not go wrong!

It's a Thermostat

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

MIL-16406
It does what it's supposed to do. Seems to open a little early, but could just be that my gauge is reading a little low. Seems to be working well though as you can watch it open and close on the temp gauge. Temp climbs to just under 180, then thermostat opens (you can see flow in the radiator) and temp drops to about 170 and cycle repeats.
