Their monotube configuration eliminates aeration and foaming, their micro-smooth, hard-chromed pistons extend their life, and their seamless cylinders and eye-rings completely eliminate seam failures.

Questions & Answers Ask a Product Question
Q:

Will these work with lowering springs? 65 El Camino and about a 2" in drop.

Asked by JOHN on July 01, 2017

A:

I think they work but not as they should. I would go with shocks made for lower cars.

Q:

1972 Mercury Montego GT with competition suspension and staggered shocks. Will this shock restore original stance in rear? I know I need to replace the original springs, just curious if you get any kind of lift with these? Thanks

Asked by WILLIAM on January 06, 2019

A:

From my experience with them, on my 1971 Z28 Camaro, I get a very very slight lift. Imagine how a gas shock extends when you take the tape compressing them. That same force X 2 will be lifting up the rear of your car. Kind of like grabbing the rear bumper and lifting up maybe 40 lbs. worth of force. It might change the stance by 1/2" or so. All depends on heavy the car is in the rear.

Q:

Are the shocks long enough to mount to traction bars? I have 1972 Z28 with traction bars and the shock mounts to the traction bar.

Asked by TIM on September 22, 2018

A:

Yes they are long enough. I have them on my 1970 Trans Am with Comp Engineering ladder bars.
