These liner sheets transform the flimsy metal surrounding your speaker into a solid, non-resonant baffle. The sound-deadening material features self-adhesive backing for a fast and easy installation on door panels, ceilings, firewalls, floors, and more. If you're looking for the absolute best sound quality, Dynamic Control Dynamat Xtreme sound-deadening liners are a must for your vehicle! They're available in a variety of sizes and quantities.

Questions & Answers Ask a Product Question
Q:

Will this adhere to areas treated with LizardSkin (rough finish)? And will it be an enhancement to the effect the LizardSkin provides? I guess I’m asking if anyone has ever used both materials with any success?

How much do I need to do the entire inside of a pickup truck cab (firewall, floor, roof, back of cab, doors)?

Thanks

Asked by GREG on January 13, 2019

A:

I applied it over Herculiner and it adhered just fine. For a regular cab '70 Ford pickup I had to buy a bulk kit(DYC-10455) and a door kit(DYC-10435) and it covered the firewall, floor, roof doors and up to the back window with just a little left over. I didn't put any under the bench seat however. Made a huge difference in how solid the cab sounds. No more sheet metal echo when shutting the door.

How hard is it to remove the sheets after they have been installed for a decent amount of time?

Asked by MIKE on December 29, 2018

A:

Just scrape it off with a gasket scraper or screwdriver.... im welding a new tranny tunnel for my T56, and had to clear out the dynamat where im welding... it comes off pretty easy, if you apply heat even eiser!!

Q:

WHAT IS R VALUE OF THIS PRODUCT

Asked by EDWARD on May 02, 2018

A:

This is not an insulation or insulator. It is a thick sticky mat, kinda like tar in a sheet, that deadens the tin sound your metal panels make, and most road noises.

Classic Sound Deadner

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

DYC-10455
Seems to be a very good way to deaden the sound inside old classic cars, along w/ keeping the temp down in the hot during GA summers. Put this in my 1955 Dodge & 1967 Camaro so far. Only complaint is it's kind of expensive when doing the car roof/ceiling, doors and floor. if it was half the price, I'd probably go back and do all my old toys one-by-one :) ...read more

Received it on time, easy to use and cut with a pair of scissors. went on great just take your time and make sure you buy the rubber roller. wooden one is not as durable. go slow for a wrinkle free finish. very sticky so make sure you do a mock fit with the backing still on it first. little high in price but well worth it.

Dynamat xtreme sound deadening liners 10455

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

Summit's service has been great. The dynamat was sent promptly, best price, no shipping charge and no tax for me. The product itself seems to be applying easily and it's the first time I've done this. a cool tool to use in addition to the wheel that is recommended is a plastic spatula used for spreading bondo. I used the it to remove air pockets as I laid the the sheet and to push it along to stretch the as evenly as possible. Then used roller to secure a good bond. The material cuts easily with a blade or scissors. Time and patience is needed, the product seams to do the job. Great product. ...read more
