Q:

I have a 64 Chevelle SS with a 4 speed tranny. I was told I need a 32 Pulse Generator, but don't seem to ever find one. Will this work with my 4 speed? I'm running Dolphin gauges. Thanks.

Asked by JOSE on October 02, 2018

A:

Hey there Jose,
Thanks for the message,
Although the SEN-01-4160 is not a 32 pulse generator by itself, when coupled with the Dakota Digital SGI-5E, this will allow the output frequency to be multiplied upward to the exact specification needed.
Thanks!

Answer This Question

Q:

Im doing an LS swap in my 89 camaro. Im running a 700r4 tranny, is this pulse generator going to work for my application?

Asked by JAMES on July 04, 2018

A:

Yes, but you will need the Dakota Digital SGI-5E to convert the 8000ppm to whatever your computer will need to see. usually on the newer computers it is something like 128,000 ppm. Dakota Digital is very helpful on how to set it up.

Q:

Will this work in a NP231C Transfer case mated to a 4l60E to send a VSS Signal and run a Manual cable driven speedometer? I did a 4.3 Vortec Swap into my 1988 Toyota 4Runner

Asked by DONALD on March 13, 2018

A:

Thank you for the question Donald, as long as the transfer case has 7/8"x18 threads and the speedo cable is 5/8" x18 threads it'll work. With your application, you may need to outsource for a custom speedo cable for your Toyota.
