Q:

Where does the PAC-2750 get it's speed signal from? It does not show it anywhere in the wiring diagram in the installation manual. I would like to use the PAC-2750 to turn off my electric fan at 60 mph and back on below 60 mph. I have Classic Instruments White Face Gauges.

Asked by HAROLD on July 25, 2017

A:

The speed function only works with the Dakota Digital instrument cluster system. It's a direct communication from the instrumental panel controller to the PAC-2750.

Q:

16927 - Derale High-Output Dual RAD Fan and Shroud Kit
i am purchasing the above. will i hook up one fan to low speed and one to high speed for the dual fan set up?

Asked by BRIAN on March 30, 2017

A:

Yes and then you program the on and off temp settings for
each fan, to operate as a low and high or both at once.
You can also set them to run after shutdown which is handy for carbureted vehicles.

Worked Great For Me

I've had trouble with Derale and Ron Francis controllers using high amperage fans. But they Dakota Digital controller works great. Like most DD products it is well thought out and completely programmable. You can program the temps that each fan goes on and off. Nobody else does that! I've been running it for close to a year now with no problems. ...read more

An amazingly good and simple product

This digital fan controller is the gold standard of fan control. It just works, and it's easy to program. The instructions were actually written by an American person with excellent technical writing skills, and it's simple enough to hook up and program that anybody over the age of 8 could do it successfully the first time. Much, much better than expected, and well worth the price. Cons? No option for permanent display of temperature. I also wish the screw-in panel for the wire connections was placed facing down and not out the front. Also, would have loved to had an indicator on when the fan was in low-power state, high-power state, or off. ...read more

Very versatile fan controller! I was able to calibrate it using the custom calibration setup to match to my existing temperature gauge and sender. Love the ability to exactly set the fan on and off temperature and the fan run time after engine shutdown. It came with a 70 amp relay that easily handles the 30 amp draw of my cooling fan. I have it dialed in now to my engine cooling needs and so far it has been rock solid. My confidence is high that the unit will prove to have long term reliability! ...read more

Works Great

DAK-PAC-2750
It's controlling 2 Derale fans and does great. I did need to use the Dakota Digital temperature sending unit. It seems they are calibrated to work together. I installed this on a 93 Jeep Cherokee. Nothing worked to keep it cool in Arizona and run the AC. This set-up works great. I also had to upgrade the charging wires and the alternator. The Derale fans are 50 amps together. ...read more
