Special Attention:
For use with production GM engines. This has countersunk bolt holes. A one time use T40 Torx Bit tapered bolt is required, but not included. The required torque is 11ft/lbs.
BTR Camshaft Retainer Plates
BTR camshaft retainer plates are designed to fit behind the front cover and support greater cam loads for Gen III/Gen IV LS-based engines. They act as a seal for the front oil passages that feed oil to the lifters, cam, and main bearings. A specially designed gray O-ring seal keeps your oil sealed in. When modifying your valvetrain for better performance—don't forget BTR camshaft retainer plates!
