Questions & Answers Ask a Product Question

i have a 2008 sierra 1500, rear shock should be Bilstein 24-186957. Mine sits abotu 2" higher than stock so i found #24-191203 that is 2" longer extending than the other shock. But it is listed for 08+ 2500 and 99-07 1500.. why would it work on the older 1500 and newer 2500, but not my truck? should i use the proper part number with my shock extenders or would this "2500" shock be useable for me. Are they stiffer/more heavy duty? I would have thought so if they werent also fitting for pre-07 1500.. thanks.

If you have shock extenders stick with the bilstein because it will keep the same height level

will this work on a 2006 hummer h3

Asked by JAMES on November 23, 2018

Hummer did not make an H3 in 2006, but they did make an H2 which had a very similar chassis to a 3/4 ton truck, but the rear suspension was a four link design with either coil springs or air bags where the truck had leaf springs. These shocks could possibly work for an H2

Will these the fit on a 1993 chevy z71 4x4 with 3inch body lift and keys turned up on 33inch tires?

Asked by RAUL on March 06, 2017

The shock you are looking at is for a 99 or newer. your shock to fit would be 24067379 given the base truck is the c1500. 99 up 24191203 is for a silverado 1/2 ton style. you would need to check full and closed lengths, tude height and size and lastly mounting hole sizes to see if they would interchange. dont know chevy that well as to design changes.
