Stock look, serious performance--Aeromotive Phantom 340 fuel systems create an illusion but they are definitely for real! Designed to add a whisper-quiet internal pump to your stock tank, Phantom 340 systems are capable of delivering enough fuel to feed your fuel-injected street rod or musclecar, even in tanks as shallow as 6 inches! So, you can make the switch to fuel injection without a fuel cell, custom tank, or a loud external pump and they definitely can handle serious power even at supercharged or turbocharged EFI pressures. Plus, Aeromotive has made it ridiculously easy for you to make the conversion--pretty cool, huh? You won't see the power, but you will definitely feel it!

Features include:

* 340 Stealth fuel pump
* Supports 700 horsepower EFI forced induction, 825 horsepower EFI naturally aspirated
* Supports 900 horsepower carbureted forced induction, 1,000 horsepower carbureted naturally aspirated
* Black anodized hanger assembly
* Fuel resistant baffle/basket
* Universal high flow pre-pump filter
* Modular design allows fitment to almost any fuel tank
* Must be used with a return style fuel system
* In tank use only

Q:

What is the height of the top above the tank top surface?

Asked by ROBERT D on October 08, 2017

A:

It is a really low profile setup. I allowed a little less than an inch with wiring and my fuel lines though. I really don't have many picture but I attached one in case it helps. It was an easy install. I would defiantly recommend their wiring too. All well worth the money!

Q:

I got an LS6 engine, from a 2001 Corvette ZO6, in a 1972 Camaro, naturally aspirated that I might install a compressor/blower on. Will Phantom 340 work for both naturally aspirated and with blower?
/Tomas

Asked by TOMAS on August 03, 2018

A:

Thank you for your question. Aeromotive 18688 Phantom 340 fuel system is compatible with naturally aspirated applications up to 850 hp and forced induction applications up to 700 hp.

Low cost alternative to a baffeled tank

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

AEI-18688
I had installed an aftermarket EFI kit in my 68 Impala and with the addition of this kit it made it operate even better! The initial cost may seem high but when you factor in how much an aftermarket EFI fuel tank costs or having your stock tank baffled the price of this set up is well worth it. It is fairly simple to install and there are many videos on the net showing how it's installed. You will definitely be happy with the results ...read more

Used with Atomic EFI in returnless

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

AEI-18688
Excellent product. Install was largely trouble free and easy to complete. I am using this in a returnless mode and the instructions required drilling a 1/32" hole in a brass plug which sent me scurrying to figure out how I would do so. I would like to see a pre-drilled plug that could be swapped out, but all-in-all it was a small hiccup. That being said, I have been cruising the truck around Yuma, AZ in the 110+ degree weather without a problem, even when down to just a couple gallons left in the tank. The system works flawlessly in all conditions thus far. ...read more

simple and easy fuel pump kit

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

AEI-18688
I installed this pump kit in an fuel cell (plastic with steel jacket). It was simple and clean to install this in-tank fuel pump. The foam seal makes it possible to install in a steel tank with ridges. I am running at 59psi for a Chevy 2005 lm7 5.3L engine swap. With plenty of overhead for a supercharger or turbo, flow shouldn't be an issue for most. Although i can still hear the pump running in the fuel cell(with the engine off), it is a lot quieter than an external pump. The only downside is the price. While i still consider it an worthwhile purchase with well written directions, the price dose make on consider all the other available options. You will need two quite large hole saw bits, but other than that normal hand-tools will suffice. ...read more

So Easy

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

AEI-18688
Installation was pretty straight forward in my case... Installed in a 68 Mustang standard tank, i didn't use a hole saw, I used a jigsaw and had some filing/tweaking to do so I would recommend a hole saw unless you have die grinder etc. I followed the instructions carefully. Top seal worked well on the corrugated tank. Pump seems to be doing fine feeding Fitech EFI using return line, the foam sump system seems to be working well on hard corners and launches... Probably high 11 second car. ...read more
