Does this shifter have a lockout to keep from going from high gear to neutral

you have to physically shift this shifter each time the only way to go into neutral is to shift it it does have a reverse lock out that every time you have to unlock it to go in reverse you can't miss a shift with this one

It has a reverse lockout, it does not have a lockout when going from high gear to Neutral.

No it doesn't. Lock is between neutral and reverse.

would this work with a 78 single cab c10 running a th350 trannsmission

Yes it would work just fine with your transmission. However you would have to make a riser plate to bring the shifter up to your sitting position. Overall it’s a very good shifter I would definitely recommend!

Yes It works for all 350 transmissions. Just read the instructions carefully as it can be a little confusing. For the most part it’s a pretty easy install. Just an FYI it takes two shifts to get it from park to reverse. This is where I should have read the instructions more carefully. Really like the product but they could improve on the instructions

The B&M Stealth Pro Ratchet shifter has exceeded my expectations in providing quick reliable shifts under wide open throttle conditions! My only criticism is that the cable exits the case housing about 2 inches in front of the shifter before it can exit through the floor. It's an aesthetic issue that I can live with and I only mention it for your awareness. Seems like B&M could easily fix this by merely extending the case or adjusting the exit angle of the cable. In any case I highly recommend this product.
