Before starting a new engine, proper priming of the oil system is absolutely critical. These oil pump primers eliminate needless engine wear from improper lubrication upon initial start-up. They allow you to drive the oil pump with a 3/8 in. drill once the distributor is removed. They are made from black oxide chromoly.
