These WAI powdercoating systems give you all of the benefits of a powdercoated finish, without the hassle and time of taking your parts to a shop! The application gun has an internal air-generating system to eliminate the need for an air compressor, plus a variable-speed trigger and a quick-change powder cartridge. Once you've applied the powdercoat, place the part in a 400 degree F non-food-prep oven to cure (powdercoating can be applied to any metal object that can safely withstand 400 degrees F). The finish is resistant to chipping, corrosion, and chemicals; there are no harmful toxins (it's EPA-approved) and overspray can be swept up.

Kits include:

* Application gun
* 10 reusable support hooks
* 10 reusable silicone plugs
* 24-yard roll of 1/2 in. high-temperature masking tape
* 120 V AC adapter

flimsy build. good when it works

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

The gun arrived with a broken cup latch button. I fixed it with glue. Powder coated a few items. It made a grinding sound ,the quit. I took it apart and found that the plastic housing for the electric fan motor had broken. The wires to the motor and trigger assembly had separated from the soldered joint. I glued the housing back together and re soldered the wires. It worked on the remainder of my items. The design is good. The construction and materials are poor. I did not send it back because I needed to get the job completed. Good luck. I can see why summit has clearanced these items. ...read more

Wai Powder Coat Gun

Byers beware, this is the worst powder coat system I have ever used. The cheapest Harbor Freight is 100% better. The gun's blower make noise, Checked this out and the blower assembly is so cheap that it hits the housing. Fixed that and them I tried it on a small item, the gun just blue out the powder and was not even. Then on the next try the blower quit. Before that the lock broke that holds the powder basket in. This is nothing but junk !!!!!! ...read more

WAI powder coating gun. The good and bad.

I think this powder coating gun is a great concept and really like how simple it is to use. The day I got it I coated a thermostat housing. Between set up and clean up it was about 5 min. Very easy to clean with some compressed air. And the housing turned out great. I can say better than I expected. From what I can see and already experienced is that it is cheaply made. I ordered this even after reading some bad reviews. But I also read some good. I wanted something I can take out quik and do a decent spray job and clean it quik and put it away. This is the only powdercoating system I found in a price range that I wanted to spend for a gun that didn't need a air compressor, was all bulky with wires hoses and cups. But the first two I recieved were already broken when I opened the box. I still wanted to try the system so I had them send me one more and it is perfect. Works great. But you need to be carefull handling it. Seems to be delicate. The first two the fans were already broke and the powder cup lock is known to brake. All in all I am happy the way it works and lays down the powder. But deffently need to be careful with handling it. I hope it continues working good because I do like it. ...read more
