I did the CV joints on my Porsche Boxster and these worked great. To get them to seat on the clamp, open the jaws and then pull back on the "foot" in the middle as far as you can. Make sure you are centered on the clamp and squeeze just a little to get it started. Double check that the back side of the clamp hasn't moved and then finish the crimping.
