These sandwich adapters mount to the stock oil filter location on your block and use o-ring seals for the best possible, leak-free seal. Depending on your application, some Trans-Dapt oil adapters are equipped with either a pressure or temperature responsive bypass valve to reduce the risk of oil starvation during extreme cold start situations.
