Good for the price

A little bit too tall for my 72 Nova. Had to modify it. Also a real pain to get to bolt up. Doesn't bolt straight to the bellhousing. A bracket bolts to one of the main top bellhousing bolts and the tube then bolts to the bracket. Hard to line them up with very little room to work. My old tube bolted straight to a side bellhousing bolt. Hopefully it will stop my leak though. ...read more

OK for what it is

When I pulled out my old engine the dipstick tube took some damage, so I opted to replace it. When I went to reinstall the engine I made sure to put the tube mounting hardware in when bolting the engine into place. In order to properly install the dipstick tube I had to use a light tap from a brass hammer for it to properly seat in the gasket that is included. Then use a offset ratcheting wrench and combination wrench to mate the bracket on the tube to the bracket that goes to the bell housing. It is a tight fit to get the brackets to go together buy not impossible. ...read more

Well it fits.. somewhat.

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

It just needs a bit of bending, hammering and alot of words to get in place easy. It keeps it leak free but ends up in a akward spot behind the carb.. oh well its better than the the one i got before that's welded 9 times before i got this.

No complaints

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

Bought this tube to replace a leaky o-ring type of tube in my 75 Lemans. The fit was good and no leaks for 15 months now, and is daily driven. Highly recommend especially for the price.
