Summit Racing Equipment® epoxy primer is a user-friendly 2-component epoxy primer, free of lead chromate and isocyanates. This system provides excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance, dries quickly, and maintains good color holdout. Summit Racing Equipment® epoxy primer provides an exceptionally strong and durable foundation for complete and/or partial refinishing work. This epoxy primer can be applied directly over properly prepared steel, aluminum, factory finishes, fiberglass, body fillers, and other substrates. Unlike most epoxies, Summit Racing Equipment® epoxy primer won't gum up when sanded after about 2-3 days. It mixes 1:1 with an epoxy catalyst, with no induction time needed. The Summit Racing Single-Stage Urethane Paint System has been formulated to meet National Rule VOC emissions standards. However, some local guidelines require more stringent formulations. If you are unable to complete your paint order on SummitRacing.com, it is most likely due to your local guidelines--please call 1-800-230-3030 for further assistance.

epoxy primer

I have stripped my 1965 Ford F-100 down to bare metal. Hit with 80 grid sandpaper and applied two coats of Summit epoxy primer, and I am very satisfied with their product.

Sands out nicely and fills well. Thinned slightly and shot with a good gun it makes a good sealer. I would like to see it offered in white for use under light colors.
