These Summit® mechanical lifters are manufactured using the tightest tolerances in the industry, ensuring optimum performance. The crown of the lifters is ground to a precise radius for proper break-in and to guarantee long life. The Summit® mechanical lifters feature an oil-metering band milled to the correct depth to prevent too much oil from being delivered to the top of the motor and to prevent horsepower loss.

Great for degreeing a cam ... or as actual lifters

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

I actually bought two of these to keep in my cam degreeing kit and they work fantastic for that, rather than having to scrounge up old lifters when I need them. I presume they'd work great in a running engine, too, since they're mechanical and really don't have any moving parts. The machining and clearances all look good. I'd definitely consider buying more the next time I put together a mechanical, flat-tappet cam engine. more
