Bought these to replace the stock manifolds on a 72 GMC Jimmy. No clearance issues on either side. Had to install the driver side from the bottom. They look really nice and fit nicely too. I have run the engine for about 4 hours and have had no exhaust leaks. The one thing I do not really like about these headers is how far they drop. I think they could be about 2 inches shorter and be tucked up under the truck much better. It isn't a huge concern for me as mine is 4x4. Also, front driveline is a little close, but still fits. Not sure what would happen if it were lifted though. ...read more

trouble from day one

first the header on the drivers side was bent on number one cylinder so close to flange could not get header bolt tight because of no clearance to put wrench on. bought different bolts and the number one tube is bend so close to number two that it almost touches boot even with shorty plugs. then on the passenger side the number 2 tube hits the motor mount and i had to grind away some of the mount to have room for motor torque. do not buy flange ground poorly also, ...read more

they fit the truck with out any clearness problems only one spark plug need to be tighten with open end wrench other wise all plugs had easy access plug wires only one need insulation at the boot but recommend doing all to be safe nice part

Fit was good other than cylinder #3 spark plug ended up right in the middle of cylinder ones tube had to cut tube and move it but I am running aftermarket RHS angle plug heads so interference was going to almost be a given very happy with finish still a good header for the price
