Great pan for the money!

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on a Trans pan upgrade, but wanted a normal sized pan with a drain plug on it. Well, this unit fit the bill, and surprised me with its overall great quality! Mine came with new Allen bolts and washers, and a good rubber gasket too. The pan is very well built, and the finish is beautiful. It is the perfect pan for anybody who doesn't need more than stock capacity, wants an appearance upgrade, and would like a drain. You even get a little bonus cooling effect! It doesn't come with a debris magnet in it, but no big deal. If you want to keep that feature, simply pull the one out of your old steel pan, clean it up, and epoxy it to your new pan. (It is aluminum now, so obviously it won't stay put on its own. Don't Rush the job. Give it time to fully cure!) Position it right under the dipstick opening, near the forward right corner on 700R4. The original pan torque specs seem a bit more than required for this pan/gasket combo, so stay on the low side there. It won't go anywhere on you if you do, and you can always snug it up a little more if you need to later. Great buy! Highly recommended. ...read more

Very Nice Pan!

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

I recently purchased this summit pan and chose it over a very similar pan from tci that costs almost twice the price. This pan is strong and well made. the casting is about 1/4" thick and I was able to drill and tap the pan with a 1/2"-20 threads into the side of the pan to install a B&M trans temp sensor. The pan bolts are 6mm internal "Hex" aka "Allen Wrench" bolts. I recommend using a 6mm "hex" socket and 4" extension on your ratchet to make the job easier. Important: I highly recommend that you check and re-tighten your pan bolts after you operate your car and it cools down. I was able to re-tighten mine. I prefered the stock capacity pan because of the ground clearance. ...read more

700R4 Transmission Oil Pan

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

This pan cost 1/2 or 2/3 what I would have paid. It's beefy. I'm confident in putting it on my pickup. I like the drain plug. It has been an advantage for me shopping more and more on-line with Summit Racing.

Nice Pan!

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

This is a really nice pan at a great price! It looks great as well...too bad it spends all of its time hidden under the car!
