Decent California legal heads for the money

Bought these heads for overall price, value and California legality. I received the head flow numbers from Summit Tech, and the intake flow numbers are pretty good. However, due to the good intake numbers the exhaust numbers are low. I calculate 71% exhaust to intake flow. Ideally, when combined with the camshaft, there should be 85% exhaust to intake flow. I'll go with extra exhaust duration on the cam to make up for this. I've decided on a ZZ4 cam because it's 208/221 and okay for EFI. Unfortunately, the springs will now need to be changed due to using a roller cam, so this takes away some of the overall price value of these heads. More exhaust flow and a roller cam spring option would make these heads an excellent deal, but they're good how they are. They'll do well in my truck I use for towing a trailer. In all regards, I live in California and these heads have a CARB EO number. That's what's the most important for me, so I'll take what I can get. ...read more
