This requires a relay

In reading the other reviews it seems some people misunderstand the purpose of this part. Just as the name says, this is a replacement part, it is part of the SSBC Electric Vacuum Pump Kit 28146 (thus the 28146SW Mfr #). If you look at that kit, it contains a relay. This switch was never designed to carry the load of a vacuum pump, that's ALOT of amperage. This switch should be installed so that it controls a relay capable of handling your vacuum pump's current/amperage requirements. First one stopped working so I bought a second.....same thing happened. I just use a manual switch on my cheetah scs shifter. Look for a higher quality switch elsewhere.
