Great Product, Easy Installation.

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

I bought this to install in my camper so I would be able to disconnect the battery when I leave. It couldn’t be any easier to install. Hook up to the positive side, connect the ground wire and you’re done. The kit also included all of the adapters, brackets, and key fob connections you would need. The remotes already had batteries and worked perfectly out of the box. I was also impressed by the range the transmitters work, my camper is 32 ft. long and I was able to sit in the front and work the disconnect switch in the rear of the camper. Overall a great product and a much better choice than some of the other bulky solenoid disconnects Summit sells. ...read more

Battery Brain Gold

If we didn't have our Battery Buddy we would have to Jump the Battery daily. Something drains the battery the car has been back to the dealership and to the Mechanic and nobody can see what is wrong. We turn the battery brain off with the remote when we park and then turn it back on when we leave. And we have been doing this for over 4 years.

Works Exactly As Described

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

We have a truck that is parked and isn't used very often, and it was eating batteries due to some sort of electrical accessory leak that we couldn't identify. Often when we needed the truck it would not start (dead battery). This switch allows us to disconnect the battery when the truck is parked and best of all we don't have to open the hood to connect/disconnect, just push the little button on the wireless key fob thingy. My only complaint is that I think they should have reversed the icons on the wireless buttons. The small grey unlock button CONNECTS the power and the big red LOCK button DISCONNECTS the power. But that is a small thing for the massive convenience this unit has provided for us. ...read more

Nice fix for ignition off parasitic battery drain

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

This is a relatively painless cure for the "ignition off" parasitic battery drain from which many older cars suffer. This product won't fix your bad voltage regulator, your underpowered alternator, or your four year old battery, but if all of these things are working in that heap you call a car, you will stand a chance of hearing that starter whirr the next time you turn the ignition instead of that sinking "click" sound, or worse, nothing. Side effects include stoppage and / or reset of that dashboard clock that hasn't worked since the 70's and reset of any saved settings on your aftermarket "electronic" radio. So if your wiring harness looks like a birds nest, if you have a number of unlabeled switches and wires popping out from underneath your dashboard, or if any part of your electrical system is labeled "Lucas", you should probably consider this product. It took me about 20 minutes to install, with no wiring required to the interior of the car, and the wireless on / off remote works better than expected. IMHO, the remote is slicker than the interior push button disconnects and the manual under-the-hood battery disconnect devices. ...read more
