Russell Speed Bleeders let you bleed the brake lines on just about any vehicle all by yourself. Just replace the old bleeder screws with the Speed Bleeders. The Speed Bleeders have an internal check valve that will pump excess air and fluid out for you. A special coating on the Speed Bleeders' threads keep it from admitting air into the system, and keeps expelled air and fluid out. When you're done, just tighten the screws and go on the the next brake cylinder.
These speed bleeders fit my 1985 Jeep CJ perfectly, worked well, and saved me a great deal of time and effort. These are well worth the money. I would not do another brake job without them.
I wish they had some obvious marking on them to signify that they are speed bleeders and not standard bleeders.
Out of 6 ordered, 2 were defective. Using 40-psi air, 3 of the 12 total Bleeder Screws ordered didn't flow air properly. Would've installed and then had to DE-install if i hadn't checked. Work nicely if they're not defective but that's a fairly dismal failure rate, wonder why they don't check them at the factory to guarantee their trick little check valves aren't blocked, hmm....read more
