Looks good

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

I had to shorten the rod that pushes on the master cylinder by 1/8th inch. My brakes were locked on first startup. I may have a bad booster. My brake pedal is good sometimes and hard other times. I could also have low vacuum because of the fat cam, or a vacuum leak under my intake manifold. My old 11-inch booster was fine though. I wanted a little more space between the booster and the valve cover, so I got the smaller size booster. I also wanted one that was not painted black by the guy I bought the car from. Anyway, it looks good. It wasn't fun to install, but that is a car design issue and has nothing to do with the booster itself. Mine came with the brackets riveted to the booster. Mounting hole alignment and size were not an issue. ...read more

Short of needed product

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

Yes this unit fits the car, but, the fact that another kit was needed to connect the unit to the brake pedal was left out. I had to call a order again to complete the install. Just a simple statement saying that it could be needed would've made me check further.

functions properly

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

The brake booster itself is what I expected. It functions properly and has a decent zinc finish. The bracket supplied with the booster does not fit out of the box. It was obviously not tested before it was sent out with the booster. I had to open the holes up 2 sizes before it would fit on the booster itself. I also had to open up the holes that mount to the firewall. It was a fairly easy fix but shouldn't have been necessary in my opinion. ...read more
