Suprisingly, it actually works!

The Dorman handle design is made how the OE part should have been made. A few additional lines of instruction would likely be very helpful, especially to the average consumer that is not familiar with mechanical fitments. In this case, installation required some persuasion with a plastic mallet, as a tight fit onto the broken shaft was required. The supplied screw was not usable (diameter too small, length too short and not of a self-tapping design). A trip to the local hardware store solved that issue. ...read more
