Rugged Ridge heavy duty steering kits are a bolt-on solution for preventing bent tie rods from wheeling with larger tires. The tubes are 1 3/4 in. SAE 1018 steel that is cold rolled, pierced, and drawn through dies to produce a wall thickness of 1/2 in.. This is true DOM tubing with no seams or welds to fail. Heavy-duty 7/8 in. rod ends feature standard tapered ends to fit stock knuckle applications. You get one ton strength without any modifications to your steering knuckles. These heavy duty crossover steering conversion kits replace the bump-steer prone inverted Y-type steering system. They connect the drag link to the end of the tie rod at the wheel, giving a better steering angle and better leverage. If your vehicle is lifted a crossover steering system is a must!

If you have stock rim backspacing. The tie rod for the drag link will hit you rim when turning. But rims with less backspacing or wheel spacers and it works great. With so many tie rod ends finding true center on the wheel can be goofy. Because of a little bit of dead wheel rotation.
