Chevrolet Performance brings us their "Fast Burn" circle track crate engines in the form of a 350 cu. in. ZZ4 with an approximately 9.6:1 compression, 400 hp at 5,500 rpm, and 400 ft./lbs. of torque at 4,500 rpm. These 4-bolt main engines have a recommended max rpm of 5,800. These are factory-sealed crate engines packages, complete with high-rise single plane intake manifolds, stamped steel valve covers with racing-style breathers, and 8 quart single kickout circle track racing oil pans. Parts used in these engine assemblies are 4-bolt main/1-piece rear main seal blocks, 1053 forged steel crankshafts, powdered metal connecting rods, and cast aluminum pistons. Installed camshafts are hydraulic roller with .474 in. intake lift and .510 in exhaust lift with 208 degree open duration intake, and 221 degree open duration exhaust lobes at .050 in. ground with a 112-lobe centerline. Standard Morse link timing chains are installed. Cylinder heads are Fast Burn aluminum style with 64cc chambers, and 210cc intake runners with 2.00 in. intake valves and 1.55 in. exhaust valves.

All horsepower and torque numbers advertised on our website are provided by the crate engine manufacturer. These numbers were achieved on a professionally operated dynamometer to compensate for variables like altitude, temperature, relative humidity, vapor pressure, and barometric pressure, all of which impact measured horsepower and torque. If you do not purchase a complete crate engine, the selection of additional components, and how those components are tuned, will have an impact on measured horsepower and torque. Ignition and fuel system components, as well as the fuel octane and quality of the fuel that you select, will impact the numbers. Please understand that, while horsepower and torque numbers are repeatable within reason, they will most likely not be reproduced identically.
