These Motive Products Power Bleeder kits use pressurized brake fluid to force air and old fluid out of your brake lines. Just pour clean fluid into the pressure tank, attach the Power Bleeder cap to your fluid reservoir, and pressurize the system using the built-in hand pump and pressure gauge. The kits are available for Ford 2-prong and 3-prong caps, hydraulic clutch fluid reservoirs, GM applications with flat fluid covers, and thread-on master cylinder caps.
This made bleeding my brakes a breeze. I recently replaced my stock 2002 calipers and rotors with the 10th Anniversary Cobra Calipers and Rotors. I recommend this even if you just use it once it cost less than taking your car to the brake shop.
This was my first time and all went well thanks to the Power Bleeder all the air is out of my brake lines.

I used it on my 2011 STI and it made things go very smoothly. The adapter cap is a very tight fit, but once it gets past the O-ring, it seals great. I don’t really see an adapter for the clutch slave, so that kind of is a negative. I initially was going to buy Speed-Bleeders, but this is completely reusable and accomplishes the same result, with far less effort....read more
power brake bleeder made it a one man job. ran 12-15 lbs pressure worked GREAT. would buy again. for a crewcab long bed should have got a higher capacity tank, took over a quart to do the far right brake
Bought this for my 82 mustang (using a 93 cobra master cylinder) and everything was easy as pie. Cap was super easy to get on and just bleed both rear brakes easily starting at 10 psi. After i was done bleeding them i had like 5-7 psi left without touching the bottle/pressure tank.
I have a 1997 Ford Escort wagon. There must be millions on the road because the Escort is Ford's basic model. The adapter cap DOES NOT fit my master cylinder reservoir. There doesn't seem to be any way to make it fit either.
I'd sure like to know which Ford it's supposed to fit if it won't fit the most common model Ford.
Otherwise the pump look fairly sturdy and a value for the money. However I can't say for certain because I've never been able to use the bleeder on my car....read more
I've always bleed brakes the old school way by having someone pump the brakes, then hold as you release fluid from the bleed port, then close it and have them pump again. We all know this method too well unfortunately. But with this power bleeder it made the task so much easier and faster. Pump it to the desired psi and start your work. Bled the master cylinder and all 4 calipers with only having to pump the power bleeder up one time for extra psi to the rear calipers. Super fast and easy, just the way us maintainers like it....read more
