MSD is proven tough

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

This blaster coil is a replacement of the one that I originally bought 8 years ago. It wasn't bad but I replaced it with the new rotor, cap and wires. Proven tough equipment that lasts.. Great product.

MSD is the way to go

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

This my second time using MSD in two different vehicles and I honestly love them. My first set is a daily usage and after 2 years are still running good. I'm hoping for similar luck here in my LT1. Installing was not the easiest but that was not the coils doing, came with new hardware and has a great appearance. I strongly recommend MSD to anyone looking for a better than stock replacement or a performance booster. ...read more

MSD Blaster

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

Pretty slick coil. Not sure that it added any measurable performance, but smoothed out the engine idle so she just purrs. The only thing that would have made it better is if it came with a mounting bracket.

Must have TBI Coil replacement

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

Stock GM TBI coils aren't good enough to last 100k+ miles. They crack, become loose on core, and become weak. I've ran these MSD Blaster coils on lot's of TBI motors I've owned and never had any issues. Quicker starting and slightly better economy big perks, and just a hair over OEM coil cost. Great buy for stock or performance build. I swear by these coils for this application and have an MSD 6A in conjunction on one of my TBI swap cars. ...read more

Had to modify, the coil body to fit in locationpre

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

For my 95 trans am this newer version of the blaster coil would not fit on bracket for previous same model#8226 msd coil. I had to dremel & file away material from the back of the coil to clear. Also needed to enlarge the bolt holes to accommodate the bracket/bolts that came with the older version coil. Not fun but will work.
