good but not for me

I had purchased one of these from my local parts store and as cool as it looks and the nice bonus of a temp warning it was not right for me. It was to tall for my 93 z28 and would hit the hood which created an uneven seal which in a pressurized system is no good. I like it but if you dont have the clearance I recomend a regular cap.

Very cool cap!

Seen this cap on a car at a car show and I thought it was a good idea. Kinda pricy, but its worth it. The cap goes on hard, so you may have to put a little bit of soap or lube on it before installation. Works good.

Radiator cap gauge.

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

Good fitment, seals well, only small issue is the gauge fogs up and is hard then to read.

Way out of spec.

I once bought a defective radiator cap, so now I test them. My first ThemoCap was rated at 16 psi, it measured 13 psi. The replacement measured 14 psi. With ThermoCap you can watch your car boil over, but without testing the cap not know why. Great idea, lousy quality control.

Nice to monitor radiator temp degrees

I'm on my second cap because the gauge display has liquid moisture in it after a couple of weeks and had to read. My second cap is also doing the same and will again need to exchange. Will exchange one more time before a refund. I do like the gauge temp cap.

Good fit cap

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

The cap fits very well on my 1968 camaro. My car did not come with a temp gage, so this allows me to monitor how my thermostat is working.

Great.

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

Yes. This is exactly what it says it is. It works awsome. I upgraded my cooling system because I have a 24' toy hauler. I got 2/3 bigger radiator, aluminum/high flow waterpump, biggest trany cooler (24,000 lbs. rated), bigger trany pan, high flow thermostat, an additive that helps with heat transfer efficiencies (also work really good)& lastly, electric fans (dual/4,500 cfm) With all that, my dashboard temp. gauge & radiator water temp were going to be way diffrent under normal driving conditions. This cap allows you to see exactly what that diffrence is. Great tool. ...read more
