Simple logic says that one of the best ways to avoid oil pan leaks is to make the pan gasket one piece. That's the philosophy behind Milodon's one-piece pan gaskets. In particular, they end leaks at the corners, where multi-piece gaskets often fall down on the job. They're molded in one continuous piece of rubber, with steel inserts around each bolt hole, so that the bolts can be securely tightened but not over-tightened. Because of this construction, these gaskets are reusable.

Milodon 41000 one piece oil pan gasket

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

tried this gasket on a 1932 ford hotrod chrome oil pan. Called for a thick front seal. 4 piece always leaked. I tried this 1 piece gasket with a little rtv engine still in car if done right works as it should I have no more leaks very happy with this gasket Price was a little high I guess you get what you pay for. I would buy again!

SBC Oil Pan Gasket

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

Straight to the point--this gasket stopped my oil leak where timing chain cover meets the oil pan. Bought this gasket because it was advertised as having a thicker gasket area at the front of the pan and with the help of a small amount of RTV it did the job. Only complaint---first time around the wrong gasket was in the right box. Ordered SBC drivers side dipstick and received later passenger side dipstick. Other than having to wait longer for a replacement, I am very happy with the product. ...read more

Milodon One-Piece Oil Pan Gasket

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

Once I got the gasket lined up I had no problems and gasket did make a good seal with no leaks however this gasket is VERY difficult to install from under vehicle. Gasket is VERY flimsy rubber looking material but is solid around bolt holes to keep from over tightening. I would not recommend using this gasket for under car replacement without alignment dowels. ...read more

not what I expected

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

I thought this would have steel throughout both sides but it is only steel around each hole. sealed well first use but when I had to remove the pan for some work it stretched and was not reusable.

Still not sure...

Quality construction. Just make sure to use the correct length bolts, especially in the corners, otherwise it won't seat correctly and it will leak. It's an unusually thick gasket.
