Milodon high volume/high pressure oil pumps provide a 20 to 30 percent increase in both volume and pressure, where most heavy duty and performance applications require an increase in both areas. Increased bearing loads, rpm, and horsepower all place greater a demand on the oil system, which if not up to the job, can cause premature engine failure. All Milodon oil pumps are 100 percent flow-tested to assure you the quality your engine demands.

Why did they change the mount?

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

The bolt enters through a machined recess. It's wide enough for a socket of course but for the first time in 45 years I had to bend my windage tray aside because it should have been held by the pump bolt. There should have been a flat surface. It can't hold the tray now. Also, my MILODON pickup can't go all the way into the body of the pump because the bolt hole on the retaining tab no longer would lineup. Pressures are good: 65 cold, 40 hot-idle with .003 clearance on mains and rods and groove filed on the bottom of MSD billet to lube cam gear. There's also a .030 hole at the timing chain to provide pressure-lube. So whats with the the windage tray mount?!! more
