Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifolds have a high-rise, dual-plane design. They produce incredible top-end horsepower, while retaining good throttle response. Performer RPMs have larger plenums and runners to match the free-flowing exhaust, high-lift cams, and other modifications of a high-output engine. They're intended for high performance street or competition engines that run from 1,500 to 6,500 rpm.

Beautiful Intake!! I bought this new 7111 intake to replace a 7111 intake that I had previously bought used. The used intake was quite old, and had a few stripped holes as well as a leaking thermostat housing (intake surface warped from over torquing, I suspect) I purchased the 12 point intake bolt set as well. I had problems with the #6 and #7 bolts being too close to the intake runners on both intakes, even after pulling the intakes as far forward as possible. Even with the 12 point 3/8" headed bolts there is NO WAY to put a socket or a wrench on it. I even had to grind down the washer just to get the bolt started. Determined to properly torque this bolt down to spec, I ground down a socket hoping it would be thin enough to fit in between the intake runner and the bolt. After a couple of hours of working with this bolt, and using a pair of vice grips, ground down wrench and a ground down socket, I was able to hear the torque wrench finally "click" at 25-foot lbs. Horrible experience and now my intake is gaulled and scratched up. You'd think Edelbrock would have fixed this issue long ago. Funny thing is, they even supplied 2 black oxide bolts just for these 2 difficult locations, so they ARE aware of the issue. They did throw in 2 cast iron crossover plugs...thanks. ...read more
