Great Piece!

This girdle is very nice piece. All machine work was clean and it fit perfectly. The kit includes custom made ARP studs. I had heard of steel girdles putting stress on the crank as they are not always perfectly flat, so I was sure to check the torque required to turn the rotating assembly before and after installing the girdle. Both readings were 25 ft lbs, so it's good to know the additional strength of the main girdle is there without distorting the main caps and block. My girdle required no machine work or clearancing to clear the Ohio Cranshaft 408 forged stroker kit. I am using this engine in a pulling truck, so I did have to clearance the girdle a very small amount to fit the rear sump pickup in the stock truck pan. Definately worth the few extra bucks! more
