Fit and finish is excellent and it's made in the USA. Much more reliable then the usual 60 in 1 crimp and strip tools. I've always used the pin and die (non insulated) station to crimp the wire in the terminal whether it has the plastic insulation or not. It doesn't pierce the plastic normally. Remember that the pin side of the die goes opposite the split of the terminal. The second station is for "double crimp" terminals which extend the metal of the terminal over the wire insulation. You give it a squeeze there with the "insulation" crimp station as a strain relief. The double crimp terminals are more expensive and not usually found in the cheap assortment packs. The plastic on the cheap terminals tends to tear easier. There are 2 positions in the non insulated station. I might be completely wrong on this but it's the way I was shown. ...read more

Now for the bad part, there is only one word to describe the crimp for insulated terminals and that word is “unacceptable”. I tried red and blue terminals from various sources and no crimp was acceptable. Any cheap all-in-one crimping tool does a far superior job on insulated terminals. If you plan to crimp any insulated terminals, get something else. ...read more
