OK But had issues

I had to install these twice. After the first install I had a rattle present at all 4 corners of the vehicle that was not there before I replaced the shocks. I knew it was not an issue with fasteners because I'd torqued all to the factory specifications I removed the rears and put a small shim (1/4" wide piece of galvanized flashing) in both the upper and lower bolt holes of the shock, then reinstalled the shock. I also had to remove the fronts (a major pain because the upper mount is buried in the engine compartment) and install a shim in the lower bolt hole of each front shock. The noises are gone but I would have expected better of Bilstein. These shocks are also smaller in diameter than the factory units. They seem to work well but I am not sure whether they will last. ...read more
