Lug Studs

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

I bought these lug studs to use on a project they weren't made to be used on but with a small modification they performed beautifully.

Good product to use.

They are a bit long. Proper for NHRA rules, too long for stock. I may need to cut them down to fit my rims, not sure yet. I was not able to find much information on what size hole was appropriate for these studs. I called Summit tech. support and they recommended a .504 - .506 hole. I used a 1/2" bit to open up my stock holes in the flange. The 1/2" bit made the perfect size hole. .504 and .505 for all of them. I also froze the studs. Inserted the frozen studs into the flanges with small arbor press. Everything went perfectly. ...read more

Wheel stud replacement

Summit RacingSummit Racing Verified Purchase

I've managed to break 2 stock wheel studs so far, 1 each side in rear, & replaced the set each time with ARP studs. I also put these in the front when I had a wheel bearing replaced. The ARP studs haven't broken yet.

Great quality, reasonably priced.

These studs are very good quality, and aren't too expensive. I was replacing my differential carrier at the time I installed the rear studs, so it was an easy extra step to put these on, but you'll need to drain the diff fluid and pull the cover if you are only installing the studs. I ran them in with old lug nuts but it would have been so much easier if I would have fully pulled the axles and had the studs pressed in, I recommend doing it that way. ...read more
