The only solution that worked!!!

My Ford F350 7.3 L diesel has almost 350,000 miles on it, it's an 02. Everything on it is sweet except I was having a lot of trouble with the steering. Being a dually and pulling a lot of weight, it seemed that every couple months I was changing out the power steering pump. It felt very much like I had manual steering. I tried OEM I tried aftermarkets, yet I got no long-term solution from either of the pumps that I put in. I was browsing around and happened to see this modified Chevy heavy-duty pump. I did a little research and found that the early ford dually's had on and off problems with their pumps, they just weren't big enough. Supposedly GM had a much better pump. Unfortunately, I wasn't driving a Chevy. However this one was modified to fit a 7.3 L Ford diesel with extremely limited modifications I had to cut one corner out on the bracket of my engine a 3 inch cut in and a 2 inch cut. Let me tell you I went from a Willys Jeep to an Escalade, it was like driving on ice, very smooth extremely quiet and so far no matter what I've done, that pump keeps pumping beautifully. I would've given it five stars if I didn't have to cut the metal, but it is a five-star pump and I would highly recommend it if you're experiencing those problems. Summit was excellent to deal with their products shipped very quickly and their innovative line of items has many solutions to quirky unusual somewhat rare problems. more
