These Performance Tool coil spring compressors are designed to safely compress coil springs for a simple installation. They feature tempered chromoly steel jaws and have an adjustable range from 8 1/4 in. to 14 in. tall. The Performance Tool coil spring compressors slide inside of the coil spring, which makes for easy installation on the vehicle, as well as quick removal of the tool once the coil spring is in place.

Bought the compressors so I would not have to rent the junked out ones from the local parts store. For the price these are an excellent purchase, plus who knows when you might need a spring compressor. The only recommendation I have would be to grease the threads, and you will have trouble free operation. Well worth the purchase.

Spring conpressor

I try to use this on a 1973 chevy nova and the all-thread that it pivots on is too long and kept binding. With that being said it took about 2 hours per spring.

Not much to say about it, it's a spring compresser, built strong, and it's inexpensive. I used to take springs out of a 67 mustang I had to install it with the bolt on the bottom it was tricky to fit in, but worked good.
