Trick Flow twisted wedge pistons are required for use with these heads to allow for piston to valve clearance with camshafts over .550 in. lift. Heads are drilled to accept 1/2 in. head bolts. Valve cover rail is raised .350 in. over stock.

Something great just got better! Twisted Wedge 170 cylinder heads now feature updated A356-T61 machined castings previously reserved for Trick Flow's 11R series heads, including a .625" thick deck for more power-making strength. The castings' billet-like appearance seriously increases the cool factor too.

Twisted Wedge 170 cylinder heads have Trick Flow's pioneering Twisted Wedge combustion chamber to reduce valve shrouding and enhance high-lift flow. The design features altered 15° intake/17° exhaust valve angles, which tightens the combustion chamber for increased compression and improved piston-to-valve clearance. That allows the use of higher lift cams with stock pistons—even with the 2.020" intake valves!

CNC-profiled combustion chambers with relocated spark plugs optimize combustion efficiency, and a choice of 58cc or 61cc combustion chamber volumes allow builders to dial-in the perfect compression ratio. High-efficiency, Fast As Cast® runners and a competition level, multi-angle valve job deliver near-CNC-ported power and airflow at cast head prices.
Assembled Twisted Wedge 170 cylinder heads come with top-quality stainless steel valves, bronze guides, PAC Racing valve springs, thread-in 3/8" or 7/16" rocker studs, and chromoly retainers to ensure great durability and longevity. Some Twisted Wedge 170 cylinder heads are emissions-legal under CARB E.O. #D-747-1 for 1996 and earlier Ford 289, 302, and 351W engines.

Cylinder heads are available fully assembled or as bare castings. Sold individually.
