No matter whether you have to move your battery for drag racing, off-road, Circle Track action, or a street rod application, Taylor has it covered, with relocation kits for both single and dual-battery setups. These coated-steel battery trays mount directly to the chassis, and all kits come complete with hold-downs, J-bolts, cable clamps, and appropriate lengths of heavy-gauge red and black cable with factory crimped terminals. Dual-battery kits permit spaced-apart mounting for odd installations or better weight distribution.

My Evo came equipped with a aftermarket small lightweight battery that allowed for less restrictive intercooler piping in the engine bay and also to shed about 30lbs. Well a small battery like that doesnt go too great with my daily driving Evo. It barely had enough juice to power the factory Infinity stereo system that comes with the SSL package and most of the time it hard to start the car. With the Taylor battery relocation kit I was able to run an Oem size battery in my trunk to tackle the duty of being a daily driver and an additional amplifier to power a Component 12" subwoofer. The aluminum box seems to have room to spare for a slightly bigger battery than the Oem Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. more
