With a weight of only 3.04 lbs. and durable heat-treated internal gears and shafts, Howe Steering Quickeners can be used to either speed or slow the steering response in your race car. These units install easily anywhere on the steering shaft with a GM spline U-joint or coupler.

So far I am very happy with the product. I had used a 2:1 quickener in my full-bodied 1977 Minte Carlo on dirt ten years ago and it worked great. Now my metric chassis (mid 80's Monte Carlo) already had a quicker factory steering box. I only wish I'd gotten the 1.5:1 steering box for this car. -Good product, easy install.
