These Fram Xtended guard oil filters maintain optimum oil flow for extended service. Unlike paper fiber filters, Fram synthetic triad fibers help trap dirt inside tiny microscopic channels to increase capacity and extend filter life. Fram Xtended Guard oil filters have a SureGrip feature that makes oil-changing easier, and their anti-drainback valve eliminates dry starts to prevent oil from draining back into the crankcase during engine shutdown. They also feature a long-life PTFE-coated exterior gasket.
