If you figure that there's no substitute for cubic inches, you need one of these mammoth 525 hp Mopar Performance 472 c.i.d. Hemi crate engines. With 540 ft.-lbs. of torque available, they'll light up more than your life. As the foundation for these ground-shakers, the Mopar power masters picked a heavy-duty cast iron block with cross-bolted mains, a forged steel crank (4.150 in. stroke), and forged aluminum pistons with a 4.250 in. bore and 9.0:1 compression. To that, they added a dual-plane, single 4-barrel M1 aluminum manifold, plus cast-iron cylinder heads with massive stainless steel valves (2.25 in. intakes and 1.94 in. exhausts). The heads also have heavy-duty valve springs with integral dampers, as well as premium valve-stem seals. The cam is a hydraulic type with 0.524 in. of intake lift, 0.507 in. of exhaust lift, and 292 degrees of duration for both. These engines come with a Mopar electronic distributor, chrome valve covers and breathers, a premium double-row roller timing chain and gears, the front cover, spark plug wires, and a 6 qt. rear-sump oil pan.
