Pulls air better than I had expected. A little sticky in closing and requires a screen to keep bugs out when turned off. There is no plug and wires are external on the back of the motor, outside the wall, so you have to create your own plug and have a visible wire, either going down the wall or going back into the wall. I made a plug and used a heavy-duty extension cord with a switch in it. The housing is 2-1/2" inch depth, and a standard wall has 2"x4" studs, and with interior & exterior wall covering a standard exterior wall is about 4-1/2" thick, so you can't just cut a hole through the wall and put it in. I had to create a window frame mount with a screen and slide the unit into the mount. With 2x4's on 16" centers, there is about 14" space between studs. With the frame mount of 3/4" thick wood, it was a snug fit, which is really just right. It took a lot more effort to install than I had expected, but it did work better than I expected, too. Realistically, a professional installer would have expected these things, I just didn't realize what all was involved. But now that it is done, I'm happy, and I would buy another if I needed it. ...read more
