Tighten Up Your Early Mustang’s Handling with SPC Performance Upper Control Arms
Early Mustangs are not known for their stellar handling characteristics in factory form. Fortunately, it’s easy to fix the factory sloppiness, and these SPC Performance Upper Control Arms are a great place to start. The tubular upper control arms feature billet aluminum cross shafts with the famous “Shelby Drop” geometry, pioneered by Carroll Shelby for the 1965 Mustang GT350. That geometry plus maintenance-free xAxis™ Sealed Flex Joint pivots greatly improve handling. Camber can be set at 0, -1, or -2 degrees to improve cornering, and 3 degrees of positive caster is built in for improved return to center with modern radial tires.
The SPC Performance Upper Control Arms are compatible with OEM-type coil spring and shock combinations as well as aftermarket coil-over kits. An OE-style ball joint and mounting hardware are included.
