Every professional driver wants to win in front of his or her sponsor, especially if the race is one with said sponsor's name on it. Jason Line found out how that feels this when he defeated Greg Stanfield to win the SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals at The Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. The win was Jason's first of the year in three final round appearances, his first in Las Vegas, and his 14th career victory.

"It's been so long since we had won a race...to finally win one, it's redeeming," Jason said. "To win the Summit race is a huge deal for us."

Line started out strong, running a 6.725/204.73 to qualify second. He never looked back during eliminations, rolling up Johnny Gray, Jeg Coughlin Jr., and Kurt Johnson on the way to the showdown with Greg Stanfield. Jason took the final round win in convincing fashion, driving his Summit Racing Pontiac GXP to a 6.782/203.83 to Stanfield's 6.816/203.16.

Not only did the victory move Line up the points ladder to a first place tie with Jeg Coughlin, it gave him a big boost of confidence. "The truth is, I haven't done a good job (driving)," he explained. "This is the best car I've had in years. I finally got some (confidence) back and it feels really good."

Line and his Summit Racing GXP will be back in action April 25-28 at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals in Atlanta.
