Tech Answer

I recently installed a BBK Throttle Body on my vehicle and noticed that the throttle blades stick in the closed position. How do I fix this problem?

Due to the precise machined fit of the throttle blades in the throttle bore, the throttle body unit will seal shut if closed all the way. In order to maintain proper idle airflow, as well as eliminate the sticking problem, BBK throttle bodies are equipped with an idle setscrew which should be manually adjusted to position the throttle blade slightly open. This adjustment will also set the engine idle speed.
