Tech Answer

What type of nitrous system is better, a plate injection system or a direct port injection system?

The advantages of a plate system are ease of installation and removal, the ability to transfer easily to another vehicle, and quick jetting changes. In most cases, a plate system wil give you all the extra horsepower you will ever need (75-350 more horsepower). If more than 350 horsepower is needed, a direct port system will provide the ultimate in distribution and power (500+ horsepower). A direct port system is advisable for maximizing nitrous distribution on inline engines with long intake runners. Direct port injection is also desirable when the system is going to be hidden under the intake manifold.
